Your Role:

As a Category Manager, you will:

  • Identify and source new products from the Asian market by analyzing industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors.
  • Develop a strategic product roadmap that defines assortment planning, product launches, and SKU rationalization.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, to identify and onboard high-quality vendors.
  • Negotiate advantageous contracts, pricing, and payment terms while ensuring compliance with international quality and legal standards.
  • Coordinate with marketing and supply chain teams to lead products from initial concept to "Buy Ready" status in retail outlets.
  • Monitor category profitability and sales performance using data analytics to track market gains and cost savings.

    What You Need:

    Non-negotiables

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, specifically focused on new product sourcing.
  • Proven expertise in end-to-end sourcing, vendor onboarding, and negotiating complex pricing and delivery lead times.
  • Strong knowledge of international supply chains, including importing regulations and managing global suppliers.
  • Advanced analytical skills using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP/Ariba) to interpret complex data and set pricing strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills to influence internal stakeholders and build external vendor partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or 5+ years of equivalent experience).

  • Ability to translate market insights into profitable, high-quality retail products.
  • Expertise in drafting and managing contracts to ensure performance and quality standards are met.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product lifecycles, timelines, and milestones within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive "mini-business owner" mindset with the initiative to improve existing sourcing systems.
  • Capability to leverage supplier expertise to drive product innovation and utilize new materials or technologies.
