Your Role:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive manual testing of software products to identify defects, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Support and execute automated test scripts using Cypress where applicable.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (HIPAA & FERPA).
• Identify, document, and track issues, collaborating with developers and product stakeholders to drive resolution and preventive actions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of test cases, test results, and QA activities.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-focused insights throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyze quality metrics and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on QA best practices and standards.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Proven experience in software quality assurance with strong manual testing background.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress for automated testing.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and testing best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Familiarity with HIPAA and FERPA compliance requirements.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• ISTQB or other QA certifications.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven industries.
