As a Student Success Coach, you will:

  • Proactive Monitoring: Track attendance and assessment submissions to identify students needing intervention.
  • 1-on-1 Coaching: Provide personalized mentoring focused on goal setting and overcoming academic barriers.
  • Support Coordination: Schedule and align tutoring, workshops, or study groups to meet student needs.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly assess student data to identify trends and report on overall academic momentum.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with trainers and academic staff to ensure support efforts match course goals.


What You Need:
Non-negotiables:

  • Interpersonal Excellence: Strong ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with a diverse student body.
  • Motivational Skills: Proven capacity to inspire students and encourage focus during challenging periods.
  • Data Literacy: Competency in tracking student metrics and generating clear progress reports.
  • Case Management: Ability to manage end-to-end support requirements for a high volume of active students.
  • Problem-Solving: Skill in identifying specific learning barriers and implementing effective support strategies.

Preferred skills/expertise:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Education, Counseling, or Psychology is highly regarded.
  • Student Support Experience: Prior coaching or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
  • Pedagogical Knowledge: Familiarity with educational principles and modern learning strategies.
  • Feedback Analysis: Experience collecting and analyzing student feedback for process improvement.
  • Community Engagement: Ability to foster a supportive online or campus-based learning community.
