Your Role:

As a Finance Officer and A/R Specialist, you will provide exceptional financial administrative support and manage accounts receivable functions to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You will:

• Manage Receivables & Collections: Call and follow up on delinquent accounts, follow up on outstanding debts in line with company policy, and maintain the provision for doubtful debts.

• Process Payments & Invoices: Apply check or credit card payments to appropriate accounts, process invoices daily after dispatch, and manage credit card expense journals.

• Reconcile & Resolve Issues: Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing or payment issues while working closely with the Sales and Customer Service teams.

• Administer Credit & Data: Process credit information for prospective clients, research and process credit memos, and enter accounts payable invoices accurately into SAP.

• Execute Bank & Ledger Tasks: Prepare daily bank reconciliations, process monthly general ledger transactions, and prepare monthly reconciliations to align with SAP.

• Support Reporting & Compliance: Prepare workpapers for tax returns (BAS/Payroll Tax), reconcile weighbridge transactions, and extract data for auditing purposes.

• Improve Efficiency: Continuously review A/R processes to improve accuracy and maintain procedures and electronic files.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• University-level degree in Financial Accounting or some college/technical school in accounting-related courses.

• 3+ years of experience in a Finance Administration role, with at least one year specifically in accounts receivable and billing.

• Proficient English language competency with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer follow-up.

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and volume.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and detailed tasks simultaneously.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Previous experience using SAP Business One (SAP B1) or other ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAGE).

• Basic understanding of Australian GST/BAS reporting.

• Experience in preparing recipient-created tax invoices (RCTIs) and managing grain grower contracts.

• High level of data entry speed and accuracy.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently within a small team environment.
