Responsibilities

• Accurately gather, analyze and interpret financial and non-financial data used by Operations to support the effective delivery of objectives and services.
• Deliver a variety of reports, manage dashboards, and provide meaningful insights to Operations, including:
  • Fortnightly Labour Dashboards (wages analysis) for each state and service line.
  • Monthly Gross Profit and Loss analysis by state and service line.
  • Fortnightly Performance Report.
  • Various ad hoc analyses requested by Operations or Management.

• Assist with Monthly Profit and Loss analysis and investigations by cost center, including analyzing Gross Profit by site, investigating site performance, reviewing journal entries and invoices, identifying low GP drivers, and preparing commentary for Operations on both a periodic and ad hoc basis.
• Assist with identifying anomalies in accounting records (cost center miscoding, missed accruals etc.)
• Support the delivery of monthly P&L reports to internal stakeholders, ensuring reporting timelines are met. This includes P&L by state, service line and investigations into low performing sites.
• Analyze roster and timesheet performance. Investigate anomalies as they arise or as requested. Use the internal Rostering system to extract, analyze and present relevant data and insights.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts and in monitoring budget performance.
• Occasionally, there will be adhoc tasks required by the business. These tasks may relate to site performance review, P&L reviews, hours-worked analysis, gathering various statistics, assisting with preparing various analysis and presentations of financial results and performance, and other similar activities as required by the business.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of relevant accounting and analysis experience.
• Experience in preparing and interpreting internal financial reports using various data.
• Ability to analyze large volume of information and Excel proficiency is a key to this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide meaningful and relevant analysis to decision makers.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
• A strong work ethic, high level of initiative, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to work flexibly at times in accordance with business requirements. Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Prior experience in similar roles in medium-to-large-sized organizations is a preference.
