Job Description:
Mortgage Clerk
(MS Office, Business Administrator, Commerce or Accountancy)
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Assist loan officer/processing staff in the processing and closing of real estate mortgage loans;
● Develop relationship with customers in order to handle routine tasks and request and anticipate
loan requirements;
● Provide administrative support to supervisor and loan officers in handling routine tasks such as
mail, telephone, correspondence.
● Prepare loan contracts and ensure clients are kept informed of the rules and requirements.
● Assist in preparing loan package instructions to external lawyers.
● Assist with credit assessment and due diligence
● Ensure you comply with the established regulations and law requirements.
● Follow-up with clients to verify important information.
Qualifications and Experience:
● 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
● Degree in Business Administrator, Commerce or Accountancy or similar
● Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
● Proficient in MS Office
● High Accuracy and attention to details.
● Ability to work under pressure and multi task
● Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
● Excellent interpersonal skills
● Commercial finance experience is preferred but not essential
● General understanding of mortgages and settlements is a plus
● Experience in commercial property law is preferred but not essential
