Your Role:
As a General Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our clients' accounting operations. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will be essential as you support a wide range of accounting activities across diverse clients and accounts.
You will be responsible for managing core accounting processes, including full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, invoicing, payroll, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, financial reporting, and audit support. This role requires a solid understanding of standard accounting processes and the ability to adapt quickly to new clients, systems, processes, and business requirements.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including recording and processing vendor payments, issuing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and supporting collection activities.
- Invoicing & Payroll: Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices, calculate employee payments, and support payroll-related processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and related financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Reconciliations & Cash Flow: Perform bank account and credit card reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and monitor cash levels and cash flow requirements.
- Fixed Assets & General Accounting: Maintain accurate accounting records for fixed assets and support general accounting activities across multiple clients and accounts.
- Audit Support & Compliance: Collect, organize, and prepare financial information and supporting documentation required for annual audits and other financial reviews.
- Accounting Systems & Administration: Maintain an organized system of accounts and supporting filing systems, perform data entry, and complete other accounting and administrative duties as needed.
- Multi-Client Support: Oversee and support diverse clients and accounts, applying a comprehensive understanding of standard accounting processes while adapting to different business needs.
- Process Improvement & Technology: Leverage accounting software and appropriately evaluate AI tools to support accounting workflows, improve efficiency, and maintain accuracy.
What You Need:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Experience: 3–5 years of related professional experience in accounting, finance, or other closely related fields, with exposure to core accounting functions such as AP, AR, reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- US GAAP Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP, including the ability to independently research, interpret, and apply accounting guidelines when needed. Hands-on experience with every aspect of US GAAP is not required.
- Accounting Expertise: A solid understanding of standard accounting processes, including full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, payroll, cash flow, reconciliations, fixed assets, financial reporting, and audit support.
- Technology & AI Awareness: Understanding of how to correctly evaluate and leverage AI tools to support accounting workflows while maintaining accuracy, professional judgment, and data integrity.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work effectively across different clients, accounts, systems, and deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, completeness, and quality in financial records and reporting.
- Adaptability & Learning Agility: A flexible mindset, strong eagerness to learn, and the ability to quickly adapt to new processes, systems, clients, and accounting requirements.
- Professional Attributes: A proactive, reliable, and deadline-oriented professional with strong multitasking and problem-solving capabilities.
- English: Advanced English level, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
